I'm not super informed on the broader opinion towards it, but there was a period where a lot of them asked their fans about the topic and ultimately decided it wasn't worth pursuing after seeing the English speaking fan response. Most negative reaction I've seen was towards the Castlevnaia anniversary NFTs, and that was more just because Konami wasn't making new games or ports rather than the fact that they were NFTs
