Morrowinds combat just feels like shit because it is visually dissonant. Realtime combat does not gel with dice rolls that include MISSING, especially with such frequency. It is the combat equivalent of invisible walls in an open world game
coughNewVegascough except much, MUCH worse because it is in your face 24/7.
As for no map markers, yeah you're right, it's way better. But I don't think that filters normalfags. Nobody seemed to mind it in Zelda Botw.
>>7554438I don't think it's that hard to appreciate, personally. I love Morrowind for what it is (as it was my first TES game). Oblivion is my favorite, but I think Skyrim is the best, especially modded. It's just about taking an actual look at the game, warts and all. Nobody likes to think about the negative aspects to older games, as though no improvements have ever been made in the sequels.
Like, imagine if Morrowind never existed and Bethesda released Morrowind, exactly as-is, as the new TES game, for $60. These dickriders would be the first to laugh themselves to an early grave at the graphics alone, and would write theses on how shit the gameplay is.
