Likewise, when you take the average western person and put them in Japan, many of them start to feel suffocated by the differences of what is considered acceptable. Yes, you can be into the wildest tentacle porn, but you keep that shit to yourself. Yes, you can buy all sorts of extreme doujinshi, but you carry that home in a nondescript brown paper bag or mini suitcase.
And like western influence on non-western societies showing in the spread of disorders like anorexia, when you increase western influences in other countries you will see them adopt the same western cultural neuroses.
