>>75513305There's basically two groups of shows; UC / Universal Century and the AU (Alternate Universe) shows.
The UC starts with the original 1979 Mobile Suit Gundam, and if you're going down this path just watch in release order. The only suggestion I have is to not watch the compilation movies except for the original series. The original series is good in both forms (TV and Movies.)
For the alternate universe stuff, it's probably best to start with a more recent show.

Those are all of the new ones and each has it's own pros and cons. Read their synopsis and pick whichever plot strikes the right cord with you. Despite the infighting in the fandom, I would say they're all pretty good shows overall.
