They are doing what they THINK appeals to fujos, but it just comes off as extremely forced and fake. Just look at the popular fujo anime, it's all shows where the guys have an ambiguous relationship that's easy to fantasize about. A vtuber equivalent of that would be two guys who are genuinely close friends and maybe sometimes flirt, not guys who can't shut up about GAY SEX CUM DICKS TOP BOTTOM which just makes it seem like they're trying too hard and it has the opposite effect.
I also think acting like a degenerate coomer in general appeals to neither the yumes nor the fujos, and in fact it can just filter those fans. What I mean by this is, while some sex jokes can get a pass, not many people want to see their male oshi directly talk about wanting to fuck a specific girl from bunny garden or whatever VN while being gross about it. And of course, being like this to an actual person (a female chuuba) is 10 times even more as filtering.
So the only female fans these people will in fact appeal to are teenagers who enjoy the constant horniness and/or don't know there's better options out there.
