What happened to her was awful, unfair and she probably will never get the closure she deserves, but if she wants to work in this industry she isn't doing herself any favors by dragging it out this long. She has the talent, the skills, the experience and the contacts to make it big, she just needs to accept that her old friends were terrible people and that she doesn't need them.
