I mean, Elira is clearly the best NijiEN but she barely beats Aki Rose Sub (YES, SUB) account and all the rest can't even beat that.

I am not saying Aki Rose is more talented than all of Niji EN (although she is) but shouldn't at least the discount Gura be growing fast and taking over the lead?

If you're referring to the meme that it's Nijiniggers who supposedly who called penguin le Gura killer, Nijiniggers are accustomed to the growth rate of their vtubers being far smaller than Hololive. Doesn't happen. If anything they say they're bigger in Japan. You don't even pay attention to how Nijiniggers actually shitpost. Kuzuha doesn't even have a million subs and he's the biggest Niji there is - it's delusional to think any of the new ENs with barely a foothold in the west would pass him anytime soon. Nijiniggers watch Nijisanji, their expectations are tempered, Holofags do not watch Nijisanji and their expectations fall along Hololive's numbers - which is exactly why threads like this exist in the first place, calling NijiEN failures for not having HoloEN numbers.

The most popular Lazulight member has 150k subs - Nijiniggers know this too. To act as if a member of the 2nd wave of the English branch would speed past all growth rates Nijiniggers have observed up until now defies all logic - and Holofags like OP clearly expect them to achieve that growth rate more. (You) in fact probably have shitposted about NijiEN being failures as well. Face it, Nijiniggers' expectations of the English branch of Holofags' expectations of NijiEN are totally different and always have been.

No. If you search up Shachi in the archives you can see posts upon posts of corrections pointing out her current irrelevancy and amount of dead subs. People were onto the idea that even if she were to get into Nijisanji, her subscribers wouldn't follow.

Wrong. It was an effort to attack Gura, because many resent her numbers or think she doesn’t deserve them.

If Gurin didn’t want any association with Gura, she should’ve picked a different name if remaining a loli, to make some degree of separation. Because it wasn’t just being of the Shachi thing, it was the whole picture. In my opinion, some of the fault is on her. A slightly different look with a very different name might have been all she needed to be different enough.

And my point is that supportive or not, it was not Nijiniggers calling her the Gura killer, and there were in fact many pointing out her dead subs. How can you say that the comparions to Gura aren't an effort to attract hate towards other vtubers when the OP of this very thread did it, and there is another thread on this very board right now shitting on another shark vtuber for the same reason?
Nobody calls her Gurin to begin with, it's her last name, and it's a play on the word penguin. The リ in グリン looks like the I in ぐいん. Nijisanji is no stranger to making visual jokes or puns with their livers' names, as you can see clearly with Joe Rikiichi. To say that her name should be changed entirely when in Japanese, where the name was clearly thought of first, they share only a single character in common (and their names aren't even written in the same writing system) is ridiculous. Gura gets compared to everyone and she'd have received hate for reasons beyond her control either way.

It was a mix of Niji and others who hate Gura in general. The threads from Holo fans (who like Gura) were the ones attacking Gurin for the similarities. It is true that some who hate Gura, simply used Petra Gurin as a means of attack (meaning they didn’t really care about Gurin, but used her to attack Gura anyway). But those people fall under many different groups.
