>That should have been me>That could never be meOne side is jealous because they secretly think they're better, or could be better if they actually had the chance to try, so someone 'undeserving' getting all the attention, subs and money drives them to tear them down so they can prove to themselves that it was just bad luck that they didn't get in (even if they never applied).
The other side is in some ways much worse, when it comes to people like, say, FWMC, because they know from the start they could never have the twin dynamic, they could never have become so obsessed with Japanese stuff or keep up the level of kayfabe they have. So for them its about proving to themselves that their 'unique' aspect doesn't work and will collapse, which reassures them that they aren't lacking and again chalks it down to bad luck.
