People are sick and tired of that shit and there's a reason twitter is only a very small portion of the population, despite how loud some of the shit may get (at least in the EN sphere, JP twitter is a whole nother environment).
Indies getting culled is a tale as old as time for all industries though. Big player makes the market and smaller players move in, either find their niche or hit a big success in some way by disrupting the market or reaching an untapped portion of it, or they wither and die. The costs may be relatively small, but low cost shit doesn't get you attention if you're unskilled.
Give it a few years, this market is so young it's illegal to bed it.
