Speaking of the fans that they lost, let's compare the debut cycle of Denauth to TTT. This is relevant because TTT was a failure and the last wave to release before the mountain of shit hit the industrial sized fan.
We'll be looking at sub count and paying particular attention to predebut sub count as these numbers will represent the most highly engaged NijiEN fans and those with the most optimism regarding the company and its products. Both waves also had 3 members and no breakout stars that would represent outliers when comparing numbers.
TTT predebut:
>CC52,000
>KN47,699
>VB55,400
DN predebut:
>TA19,300
>RB18,800
>KC18,800
Keep in mind that these are the "hardcore" NijiEN fans. The ones that see that a new wave is coming and immediately some to most or all of them prior to debut. In 7 months that number was more than halved from what was already not an especially strong starting point.
Observing over a similar length of time, daily sub gain has been roughly the same meaning that NijiEN's marketing reach is about the same with casual or less engaged viewers, but that drop amongst the most engaged portion of their fanbase is deadly and it's going to take more than paying for the rights to NBA teams and some nebulous music collabs to turn that trend around.
