Lord of the Board 3 - A Genius Shapes The Future
Signups for the third Lord of the Board tournament are now OPEN. You can find the form HERE:
https://forms.gle/7JN3kkLvb2u2uT866 This thread will only be made once to announce the opening of entries. After the thread closes, future questions and the sign-up form can be found in /hfz/.
>What is this? A board-wide wrestling tournament, hosted by /hfz/ in WWE 2k24.
>Who can enter? Any thread can sign up.
>What is required to sign up? Your thread must be active on the board in the 3 months preceeding signups opening, and must have at least 10 threads and 1550 archived posts total, before this post. This does NOT require those threads to have reached bump limit, but this is the equivalent of 5 threads at bump limit.
Additionally, your thread's manager is REQUIRED to provide VALID contact info of some kind on the form. We will not verify your entry until we confirm the contact info is valid and has an actual person on the other end. You may use a burner account, so long as you can respond to messages we need to send you within 24~48 hours. Any information the manager provides will be kept completely private.
>Will previous LotB entrants be given priority? No entrants will be given priority for entry slots. They are first-come-first-served.>Hey yo my thread's kinda small and I'm not sure we'll be able to enter.
If /yourthread/ does not meet the requirements to participate in the tournament, you can still enter Exhibition matches. There will be a spot on the form for this.
>We entered a previous Lord of the Board event, and we want to re-use the same rep. As we've changed games, we'll be making a new rep from scratch. You can request we attempt to recreate a previous entry, but each game has different rules on what is visually possible, so there may be complications. You'll still be required to fill out the form properly. There will not be a "just reuse my shit bro" button like there was last time.
>If I manage the entrant for /mythread/, what will I be expected to do? You will need to fill out a form detailing your thread's representative wrestler, including appearance, general fighting style, entrance music, and graphic sources. You do not need to convert any of these things yourself, just provide assets. If something you give us doesn't work, we'll contact you. If you ghost us for 72 hours, we'll notify your thread and give the chance for somebody else to step up. If nobody does, /yourthread/ is out and somebody else will get the slot (if appliciable). However, most of the time it's not a big deal and you're mostly hands-off once the form's in, other than confirming details here and there.
>Will there be a tag tournament this time? No. The Million Dollar Collab title is safe...for now.
>What is the format for the tournament? It will depend on how many entrants we get, but expect it to be a similar format to last time, without the tag matches in the middle.
>Will there be exhibitions? Yes. We'll have inter-thread grudge matches, theme matches, and whatever lore shit gets cooked up. Threads that do not qualify for the main tournament will also be permitted to participate in exhibition matches as well.
>Can I bring /mythread/'s beef (in kayfabe) to Lord of the Board? We expect you to.
>Do I need to own WWE 2k24 to participate? No. Cracked copies of the game can upload to the Creation Catalog. Links to cracked copies of WWE 2k24 will not be provided. Do your reps.
If you do not wish to create your thread's rep yourself, you can request that it be made for you.
>When will entries close? The form will close in 2 weeks, on June 14th @ Midnight ET.
>Will there be commentary? There is a signup form for those interested in commentary HERE:
https://forms.gle/GgqpaGQo89dRaCh2A Commentary will be the streamer and one other person at any given time.
If there is somebody you would like to commentate, you are encouraged to be proactive about it.
>When is the event going to take place? When it is ready. At this time, our estimate is that the event will take place in mid-July, over 4-5 days spanning 2 weeks.

How do the weight classes work in regards to height? My thread's rep needs to be short and fat, but being short is the priority so I don't want to choose a weight class that would force her to be taller

For the stage assets (everything that isn't crowd signs), ideally you would send us raw files, as we have to format them to fit a fucked up template anyway.
For crowd signs you can do whatever. If you send them to us already 128x128, that's fine. If not, we'll resize it.
>>77029021 Modding for 2k24 is still in developmental stages, but 2k23 did have model and animation injection. However, this is a very fragile game. Every mod decreases the stability of the game. The rigging on injected models was also very annoying to implement and actually would've been more effort than just making normal CAWs for all 90 participants we had in LotB2.
We also have fewer people able to set up those mods compared to how many CAWtists we have that help out. So to answer: A lot of shit is possible, but very little is pragmatically usable.
