It's much the same way how people have just sort of decided that Kansai can be roughly approximated into English as a Southern American accent, but that doesn't mean that people from Kansai are actually imitating Americans.
The main reason people hate "y'all" is that it was appropriated by the type of people who use Twitter that this board hates (and who in turn hate this board), the type of people who would despise most Vtuber fans on this board. There are two main reasons they use it
1: copying Black Americans who use it as they have this weird Black worship culture
2: It's seen as gender neutral, meaning that you can use it to address non-binary/gender freaks without one of them having a fit at you. Even something like "you guys" would piss these people off
Since Ayame has nothing to do with that culture war, people don't get upset at her accent.
