I didn't realize Aqua was that popular. I expected Korone and Watame to be the big hitters since you hear so much about them.
I have no frame of reference as far as popularity goes, just an observation.

Given the headstart that she initially had as the biggest in her Gen, Noel is the most likely with consideration for 'falling off'. But that is nothing new as she 'fell off' way back in 2020 when Pekora and Marine surged past her. Her career trajectory has emulated Mel's but with far more success. Let's just hope this emulation doesn't result in a similar type of exit.

Aqua at her peak in 2019 was the most powerful vtuber comparative to the overall market. She was simultaneously #1 in Viewers and #1 in SCs pretty consistently which no one in Hololive has been able to match since. Aqua, Fubuki and Sora were the big 3 before Gen3 and Coco completely upended the vtubing landscape in 2020.

Korone and Watame are bigger with western audiences (and thus clippers) which is probably why you've heard/seen so much of them comparatively, but Akutan is a collosus is Asia itself. Even when China was mass boycotting Hololive they still couldn't stop the Chinks from watching her.

When it comes to the wider Hololive fanbase, I have found over the years that appreciation and acknowledgement of gaming skill takes a firm backseat to oshi loyalty sadly. You may get a small boost in viewers but you won't see dramatic swings no matter how good you are.

If you like her minecraft streams, check the playlist above. Aqua wanted to build a new HQ for Akukin Kensetsu. She started interviewing potential members with Marine (office lady) and Mio (human resources). Then they did a collab with all members in relay mode. First is Flare, then Lamy, then Mel and so on. Each member built something for Akukin HQ. After they finished, it's the next member's turn to built something. Watch the playlist sequentially.
