Ive been thinking about this and I think the answer is to have streamers that have women as the target demographic. It doesn't seem like any streamers do and if the fanfiction/truecrime scenes are anything to go by it isn't like there aren't women willing to spend too much time online, they just aren't doing it /here/.
The economy is way smaller for anime girls targeting men. They're limited to weebs, while most people are happy watching facecam egirls on twitch and somehow manage to get the parasocial effect even when chat is going a mile a second. Company streamers have gotten a good niche with the moe but I feel like weebs who are into that are a subset of a subset.

Actually, first Gen 2 will pull tons of viewers checking in and show growth, then by forcing choice it will allow the better ones to rise more, and the crappier ones to fail more. Which isn’t completely the case now, since you get what you get. Another Gura type of success would be interesting as well.

Overall it will be very successful, and draw interest. It will grow Hololive.

That's the thing, Gura can pull big numbers, but lacks the work ethic, professionalism and grit to do it on a consistent basis.
Ina has potential to grow since she shows signs of great retention of her dedicated fans in a similar sense to other top holos, she has a great base to build from.

- no expectations for crazy numbers bc ID

I legit think that might be the only way that their project has any hope of gaining any traction. They need to poach established talent and create a stable of already established chuubas like Vshoujo. That method would be a lot easier than trying to find diamonds in the rough like Holo or doing an even more extreme version of Nijis shotgun approach.

But, established vtubers from Holos or Nijis probably wouldn't leave because the expectations from Sony would be too high for them. Marines song really, really sucked.

Like I couldn't even watch it more than a minute and a half or so, and I usually listen to pretty much all Holo originals. It is by far and away the worst. No idea what the fuck the thought was.

Damn, I missed Marine's epic stream. 94k peak is quite insane. Glad my prediction that she wouldn't beat the Dokuzuhonsha collab was wrong, but then again, I didn't know what Marine had in store.

On the other hand, 60k for a Mario Party collab is pretty high right? I don't think I've seen a Holo Mario Party collab get that peak. Usually, Dokuzuhonsha gets around 45-55k so I guess it's been a while since the last one and people were excited.
