>>77489805Too late, really. When businesses answer to stockholders and investors, it's necessary to sell them on the proposed solution going forward before committing to a course of action. And in the realm of armchair theory and "science", accomplishing this involves solutions that are backed by numbers and evidence. And unfortunately, the "idol" approach has numbers and evidence. Doki's approach does not.
It's already clear from Cover's report that they're holding a lion's share of the world's top vtubers. Their share of "vtubers over 1million subs" is significantly higher than any other corpos for several reasons, and these numbers are powerful comparison points when thrown against other companies in the same industry. In the same vein, shortsighted and ignorant stockholders are going to look at what Cover is doing and ask Riku "hey, that works. Why don't we try something like that so we can get that slice of the pie too?"
Doki sees a niche in the EN market that no one else fulfills: the west's Shibuya HAL. She's correct, too. But she doesn't have the evidence, the numbers, the proof to back up the claim that this position is a profitable venture even if it's true. Nijisanji EN has become rife with sex jokes, boyfriend ASMR, fujobait, and controversy after controversy. All because they were unable to see the vision Doki saw. She broke the rules and was punished for it. But like that one screencap said: punish Selen at your own risk, Nijisanji.
