To be fair when I look at global musicians' world tours, not just American, I've never seen they hold concerts in Delhi, Cairo, Lagos, or Baghdad.
Even SEA is a regular now, Singapore, Jakarta, Bangkok are becoming mandatory. SEA is now on the same level as Europe, but if we talk about Japanese artists, yes sometimes they skip EU entirely for SEA.

For now. I remember the Indonesian Comic Frontier only had 8K visitors a day around 5 years ago, BAM! 30K visitors a day last May.
Yes it's a doujin convention, not an expo, but there are also various conventions founded.

While AFA SG is still the most valuable expo in SEA, the growth of ID conventions are crazy and might soon surpass AFA in the coming years.
