Since calling you people idiots and telling you to stop threadshitting apparently won't work, I might as well say this:
I don't care if the reason he did it was to reduce API calls, and it doesn't matter if it SEEMS like the reason they need to reduce API calls is because they fired the staff who "maintained" everything. It is completely idiotic to assume that the staff wouldn't have been too incompetent to maintain Twitter's infrastructure at this point anyway, because anyone who hasn't been living in a fucking bubble is aware that the competency crisis is a generalized phenomenon across the entire world at the moment, and it would've been extremely odd had Twitter somehow been exempt from that phenomenon. This is to say nothing of the fact that we KNOW that a huge portion of Twitter's workforce were either a) useless eater HR women, b) literal fucking feds, or c) ideologically compromised psychopaths who are trying to destroy civilization (which, by the way, absolutely would include chucking people like (You), me, and Gura into a death camp), which means that however much of a self-serving transhumanist liberal shitstain he is, Musk would have had to be retarded to the point of lacking all self-preservation instinct NOT to bite the bullet and axe those people, regardless of how many features it ultimately did or didn't force him to sacrifice later down the road.
Remember: at this point, only a complete fucking MORON would think Twitter's value is based on its ability to generate revenue. The actual value of the site lies in the fact that it grants you disproportionate influence over the social discourse, regardless of the fact that the majority of people don't even use the site (you know, tricking elected representatives into thinking certain attitudes are more popular amongst their constituents than they actually are, brainwashing half of the population via what Google calls "ephemeral experiences" to let (((certain people))) steal elections, etc.?). Seriously, if you somehow haven't noticed that Musk *knew* that he would probably lose money and doesn't fucking CARE, and that he is RIGHT not to care because you think it somehow makes sense to be obsessed with money as an end in and of itself, then you are probably underaged and don't deserve to be taken seriously.
... that said, Musk IS still a moron and a snake for not picking better people as replacements, and for allowing stupid shit like the "freedom of speech, not freedom of reach" policy to go through. But that's besides the point, which is that it's hilariously childish, short-sighted and naive to see you retards shamelessly, hysterically sobbing over the fact that we lost Gura's Twitter likes and that it's slightly more inconvenient to find fanart or other petty shit like that when the alternative is ALL of us being fucking MURDERED within ten years' time. Sorry, I don't want Gura to fucking DIE. If you can honestly say with a straight face that this makes someone an "anti", well, maybe it would be better for the world if you WERE worked to death in a fucking salt mine.
