Frankly most people here didn't give a single, tiny rrat shit about Matsuri before this week because she was only ever popular in the EN sphere in that window before and shortly after Gen 3 came about and clippers were making a dent in the West. Not long after that you get Coco etc and then HoloEN itself. Time fucking flies at lightspeed in vtuber-space; Matsuri was one of the really-big names and her clips got people into Holo back then. These days? Literally it's "ahh there she goes being menhera again" or "why does care so much about apex" and then the same repeated ad-nauseam shit about how degen and horny she is. She's more of just a curiosity than a staple and has been for a while.
So people are just trying to use this chuuba they probably gave no fucks about to grandstand either way, to attempt to project and preach using it as pretext when in reality, a lot of people with a true-neutral head on their shoulders, who fully understand Matsuri's past, how she sells herself to gachikoi etc on moping about how lonely and BF-less she is etc, would think she's a shitty person for actively pursuing those guys' wallets while quite possibly being nothing like that at all in reality. It's virtual gold digging on vulnerable people and her giving the finger on her roommate twitter banner in response basically is a big "fuck you I'm not even going to attempt to save this" kind of pissy response that is precisely what would be needed to seal the deal of no, she just fucking sucks as a person.
