>>78341595>The problem with discussing them /here/ is that a lot of anons hate the concept of the stars so much that they don't even want to discuss anything about them, shutting them down as "gay" almost immediatelyi get that. but the reality is that the anons that say those things aren't going to watch the stars or spend any money on them anyways. it's pointless to try to change their mind. and it would be even more pointless for the chuubas themselves to try to convert those people, because in cases like these you're better off focusing on how to please the hardcore fans you already have.
(incidentally this is why i think trying to force unity between the stars and holomems is not a good idea because it pisses hololive-onlies off and sets the stars up for failure.)
>some of them focus a lot more on content that can be enjoyed by anyoneof course. at first glance most male chuubas can seem like their content is exclusively for women, but it's not exactly the case for a lot of them. i can't think of a popular male chuuba that actually does fanservice bait content 24/7. believe it or not, not even the yumes and fujos want that.
>In general though, I'm apparently a weirdo who's fine not watching a stream if it doesn't appeal to mei'm the same and i'd wager the majority of viewers do this. you just don't hear about them a lot. someone who's indifferent to bait content will just go on with their day, while someone who hates it is more likely to post about how it's garbage and pisses them off.
it's ok for fans of the stars to highlight their content that has more mass appeal, but using a word like "brotuber" can come off as misrepresenting them to some people.
