On Windows it's as simple as finding Equalizer APO and running the install
On Linux Mint it's wading through a hell of random and outdated posts everywhere to figure out what alsa, pulseaudio and pipewire even are, then figuring out how to rip out pulseaudio and replace it with pipewire, dealing with catch-22 dependency conflicts where it wrecks gnome-bluetooth or something if you try to clean uninstall, getting confused with pipewire-pulse, etc
