We can deduce that for each minute that passes, viewers for each increases by 100.

Going by this logic each would gain 3200 viewers roughly, however due to how fast viewers stack up the closer to the start the rate of increase increases so to factor that I’ll add 2000 to my estimate.

So final estimated waiting time total would be.

8600 waiting for akabane

And 8100 for nene.

For bullshits sake, add an extra 2000 for each

Good point, then you can divide the premiere number by half via YouTube fuckery reduction estimate and multiply then divide it by how many minutes are left until premiere.

So about....a little less than 1.5% of his sub count joined as members.
Now obviously this is going to be a huge leap of logic that subs to members is linear (it is not) but by this metric Gura would have.....40k members? That's....a terrifyingly high number, and the last estimates put her member count somewhere in the 30k range? based off of some rather dubious info from a fan discord.
Crappy dubious numbercrunching aside, I really wished we had concrete membership numbers (but I know we'll never be getting those numbers).

Hayato Kagami had even less subs than Coco and Kanata and fucking had 133k viewers.

Also, your examples aren't as great as you think they are. Do you really think 50% of Fuwa, Kagami, Ib, and Debi's subs showed up for their 3D debuts? No, like most big event streams, many are tourists who came to have a look at the spectacle. The fact they had so many eyeballs on them and are still under or around 400k subs now meant many of the people who watched those streams felt they weren't subbing to after watching it.

It's basically what Matsuri got for her Bday 3D live with gen 1 as guests. Nene peaked at 49k the last time she had a sololive, so it's pretty good retention for essentially doing the same thing she did a few months ago.

My mistake was thinking she would have guests this time, since guests always bring a boost and we've been bombarded with guest-filled 3Ds lately. If Nene was doing a sololive, it was very unlikely she'll beat any Niji 3D debut. Most Niji 3D debuts have lots of guests afterall.

The holo fanbase has a large overlap between talents. The events are way too close together for these fans to maintain excitement over.

The tight schedule also shows in lesser production quality of these events, such as being mostly solo. The talents don't have much incentive to invest either, since there's little resources being poured into it anyway, and they don't have much to gain from putting in effort. Sacrificing stream time doesn't make sense when they make significantly more abiding to scheduled streams. Hence, the quality being "just enough".

It's a vicious spiral. The status quo of their streams are too successful for them to venture investing effort into occasional events.

Fuwa had his 3D debut at the same time as Roboco's gundam costume reveal and he literally had 100k+ more viewers than her, but his number was frozen for a few hours until youtube sorted it out. That being said, it wouldn't surprise me if Nene's is the same. 175k VOD views for a 48k peak stream seems low.

While she didn't reach the predictions most people had of like 60k, I think most of us wouldn't have guessed that if we knew it was going to be a sololive. Pretty good retention for doing the exact same thing as what she did 2 months ago (literally 2 of the songs were the same). At the end of the day, Nene is a middle of the pack holo so getting almost 48k for a sololive is a great number. Nene needs to learn from Suisei tho that even if she wants to be a star, you need some guests to break the monotony of 1 full hour of solo performances.

Himawari's 3D bday live numbers were pretty brutal. 18k for one of the most prominent Nijis and she had guests too IIRC. It is a good sample tho for what a non-holo bday/ anniversary 3D live gets.

I'm sure if someone more popular like Kuzuha or Fuwa did a bday/anniversary 3D live, the numbers would be far better than 18k, but this does show that a Bday/Anniversary 3D live buff, while present, is nowhere near a 3D debut buff.
