This is an academic assertion. I truly believe, and will back up *with evidence*, that Gura is the cutest person on the planet Earth.
Think about it logically. We have two possible scenarios to consider: Scenario A is that, as I have stated, Gura is the cutest person alive. She is also the biggest, most iconic, most well-known vtuber - this would be only natural on merits of her cuteness, a rational outcome for a rational world. In addition, she debuted in the very first Hololive English gen. Not later, the first one. Was this just a fluke? Pure luck? Why not later? She didn't show up in gen 2, or 3, and steal the show, and become the new hit thing - and no one has surpassed her since. Of course not. Because when Cover scouts began looking for their breakout first gen they needed to go big or go home from the outset, and so they targeted, with intention, the cutest girl they could possibly find in the whole wide world (alongside 4 other exceptionally cute girls), and everything since then has been trying to recapture that glory, but while they have come close, finding a true equal simply cannot be done - because no other girl as cute as Gura exists in the known world.
Okay, chumchad anon, your arguments are solid, you are very smart and also handsome, but are you sure you aren't overlooking something? How do we know this for sure? Consider Scenario B - a purely theoretical venture in which Gura is somehow NOT the cutest person in the world (impossible I know, I KNOW, but bear with me). Okay, so there must be someone cuter than her - where is that person? Who are they? Logically speaking, in the information age of the internet, there is no possible way that person would be some unknown girl just living her regular life without being noticed and showered in fame and attention and glory proclaiming her cuteness to the world. No. Simply look - if you will forgive me for mentioning this for the sake of science - at Gura's previous incarnation before hololive; she had a youtube channel into which she put no real effort, making short, 1-2 minute meme video clips and joke songs set to gifs of anime girls dancing on loop just for the fun of it. All of them got a fucking gorillion views without even trying. A GORILLION. EACH. Cuteness was all it took to propel her to instant fame overnight. Therefore, we can conclude, if another girl exceeding Gura's cuteness exists, she would be at least as well-known. And yet, no such figure exists, certainly not one about whom any agreeable consensus can be made by a group of people equivalent to the size of Gura's fanbase.
Now I know what you are thinking. "But MY oshi is actually the cutest in the world." I respect this point of view, but we must be clear what you are really saying. What you are saying is "MY oshi is the cutest in the world (to me)". Very based, anon. Very based indeed.
However, when we say this about Gura, we are actually stating something different; that is to say, the full statement is "Gura is the cutest in the world (to God and Christ and the Holy Spirit, to all objective rational tenets of science, to the universe experiencing itself, to the platonic ideal of cuteness, to the most alphapilled gigashrimps, to Amelia Watson who is the second cutest girl in the world, etc.)" and with that, I rest my case.
