If a vtuber is boring, uninteresting or unpleasant to listen to then no matter how incredible their model is: Barely anyone's going to watch.
There's tons of examples of vtubers with terrible or very primitive model that became quite successful due to their natural charisma and high quality streams.
Same thing in the other way: There are many indie vtubers that spent an absolute fortune on insanely high quality models, but their streams are completely uninteresting so they're barely making it.
