Nijisanji en is the best example of this and why the fears are valid. lazulight and obsydia, the first two gens, were hits. they built up their individual fandoms and were growing at a cozy rate.
then luxiem came along and brought in a wave of insane grossly behaving women. literally overnight the entire branch was reduced to accessories to the males because the old fanbase was drowned out 8 to 1 and the way kurosanji operates meant they chase money (so all talents were forced to go along with the new direction whether they personally wanted to or not).
luxiem themselves were also examples of bad male ecelebs. one of them is a wannabe sexpest (wannabe because he's too much of a manchild to get action) and two members who have worse allegations in their prior lives that have been buried. one is a member of "the clique" and the last member was frozen out and was the first male of their branch to quit.
then the second male wave added a literal racist and a guy who faked his death.
out of the ten talents across their two all male waves a grand total of two of them seem to be decent people, the rest ranging from assholes to real potential predators.
personally I don't share the same concerns others have because hololive is not run the same as nijisanji, each talent is allowed to set their own agenda within various limits and the vast majority of holoen have long decided they don't want the trouble a culture shift would bring. I have complete confidence in my oshis and side chubas.
the next month or two will be incredibly annoying however with all the shitflinging and elizabeth continuing to unknowingly stoke the flames.
