1) You have to boil the water BEFORE putting the pasta in. The most common error by retarded bachelors is to put the pasta in cold water and let it boil, making it go all sticky!
2) As the water is boiling, you only have to hold the pasta in a vertical position until it starts bending and filling the bottom of the pan.
