Better management, IRyS was completely mishandled.
>Songs usually released on some automated Youtube channel first rather than her own and MVs were never ready on time

Unless you would strictly say what you want from potential talents AND give them training - nope, there's very limited amount of women which are: skilled, not already having a gig and Western. Hololive from the get go allowed - wanted - independent talents which are doing what they think works best. Management just fucked up everything. The retarded lore, the goblina tier model, the attempt to enforce a collab ban, japanese lyrics for an EN singer, english lyrics that sounded more ESL that Raora, recording sessions so long they damaged her vocal cords, no 3D at debut, etc. etc.

This will never not be an issue. Japanese companies are supremely autistic about sponsoring working visas, so they end up hiring ESL Asians because it's easier for them to get to and stay in Japan through their own means. Unless they're willing to bring native English speakers to Japan this will always be a problem.

Hire one good singer at a time. Finding one singer at a time is much easier than forcing yourself to fit an entire gen together

I suspect part of the reason why they hired Nerissa is that she's very good at doing EN covers of JP songs.
I suspect she, and that girl (question mark?) that Kiara found, will write most of the en songs in the future.

HoloEN are increasingly doing more live shows and tours. There needs to be a focus on bringing more singers into HoloEN.

They either need to bring back solo hires via Vsingers/EN0 or EN5 being all singers, mean they would have to hire five(four) girls at one time and fit them into a gen.

Additionally, many songs just don't have English subtitles, even those that are covers of Hololive originals where the original versions already have English subtitles. So go watch the original version on Sora's channel if you want English subs. When IRyS was asked why even her original songs don't have English subs, she tried to explain that English subs might 'take away' from a possible future English version, so her songs needed to remain only accessible to Japanese speakers.

Being a breakout hit like Suisei and Calli isn't easy, you have to have something to fall back on. Just look at Kanata, amazing singer and is trying very very hard. But There's always money in the video game stand.

Management. Suisei is pretty successful now, but you need to remember she was transferred from INNK to Hololive and she only saw success later, she utterly despised INNK and was even considering quitting. Azki was also under INNK and later Hololive. Hololive really can't manage their music talent and it's a miracle they actually have success stories like Suisei.

having a niche is nice, letting that niche define you is a terrible idea. Vsingers being a different thing from Vtubers gives them no discerning advantage, alienates them (not to their coworkers but to the fanbase) and is a logistic burden for what's essentially the same thing (Azki,Suisei and Irys had no limitations on streams but did had some regarding music).

The current system of letting talents grow into singers works a bit better, and prevents burnout, butting heads and reduces the burden at the cost of the girls having to work for the songs and attention.

TLDR: Why call yourself a vsinger and have your music restricted when you can be a vtuber and not have that shit restricted?

Sure but they hired JFT in a singer gen. Finding five perfect people and getting them ready at the same. That's one of the weakness of producing 5-man gens.

There should be a dlc-style gen that they build up slowly in time, while debuting the normal 5-man gens.
