>>79159524I was joking when I said that part but is is an objective fact that Northeast (specifically NY, NJ, Boston) has the highest percentage of people with Italian heritage in the country. Yes, Italian Americans aren't "Italians" but depending on where you grew up, you spend your life eating "Italian food" and shopping at "Italian delis" and interacting with people who are convinced they are Italian. And yes, you are more likely to meet and interact with actual Italians from Italy on this part of the country too.
