Now ofcourse they arnt actual anime guys but we are seeing the audiance that might watch them, weebs. Males like cool/smart/strong male characters while females might leam more into the sexy type.
Homos are none of these, they are bad at everything. They don't pander to fujos, they arnt "brotubers" whome the girls audiance might give a chance. They arnt particularly skilled at anything, make generally mediocre content and more importantly have done nothing to try and improve themselves.
They have all the exposure in the world, there is only one reason they arnt popular
