Said and done, he got helped out and Gunrun just told him if he wanted to join in. Kuro was already in the process of basically doing like Quinn did (go indie).
It's not really hard to figure out why he joined, if Gunrun had access to seeing his tax problem, he probably saw Mysta's income (even if it was with the Niji cut) and realized he moved quite a lot (still does), and despite some shortcomings of him being extremely vocal and a retard, he's still pretty ok, mostly annoying stuff not some Luca or Vox level of shit
