So there's a lot of hamster wheel going on there, but there's a bunch of shit you can do other than grinding levels. You can do quests, kill bosses with increasingly difficult mechanics, make money, kill other players or just talk with randoms in-game. This game has over 100k concurrent players on average so there's always people online to fuck around with. The game has a crazy dedicated community who basically used the game like a sandbox akin to Minecraft to do a bunch of cool shit and make Youtube videos about it. For example, the players made a game show out of it, called Gielinor Games which is airing weekly right now on Youtube (it's on episode 8 atm).
