It's not going to be the full story as upd8 only came into being a while into Ai's career but if you can into Japanese enough and can find the 5 15-20 minute rants then you'll get a pretty clear picture of exactly what happened beyond the obvious people not being prepared for a massive success and fumbling the ball part.
