/lig/ monthly update
hello everyone, OG numbers anon here. It's that time of the month again: Our monthly top 20 for June 2024. So this time, I'm going to be trying something a little different: Instead of outright disqualifications for flesh streaming more than vtuber streaming, I will be manually taking the averages from their vtubing streams as long as they meet a criteria of 3 or more vtubing streams that month so I can get an accurate average. It's slightly more work for me, but I feel like it's worth it so i don't have to keep having disqualification arguments every month. Now if your oshi's disqualified, tell her to actually fucking stream as a vtuber 3 times a month. This month's manual calculations were Onigiri, Bao, Rainhoe, and Lanya, Dokibird and Mint Fantome's data is based on playboard average live views.

Notes:
>So much like i predicted last month, the numbers overall are down heading into the summer months. Now it's not as drastic as we've seen in the past, but we do have a pretty consistent 5-10% drop across the board, even among those outside of the top 20 that I checked. What happened last year was numbers stayed at around this level or a little bit lower until the end of august when people started back up school and then Twitch's subtember event hit in September. I imagine this will happen again this year. The goal for most right now will to be just stay consistent in their streaming and not to fall into any prolonged breaks.
>The most notable down this month is Nyanners. The reason? Her lack of streaming due to her move gutted her viewership. She's the type that can rebound from this, but she'll need to probably bust out something special to achieve this.
>The other Notable down is Shylily. If you are looking as to a reason why, it's probably the fact she's only streamed sponsored streams and gachaslop this month.
>Notable ups this month include Vei, who is riding a really high wave of positive momentum as she seems to have found her streaming rhythm again, Shxtou, whose audience skews younger females who are now in summer and have more time to watch his streams, and Lanya who has been collabing like a mad woman this month and it seems to be paying off.
>Doing the manual calculations for averaging the removal of flesh streams vs the numbers with flesh streams, surprisingly the difference in most cases is negligible, to the tune of maybe 100-300 viewers in most cases. This goes back to a point i made a few months back about Aethel and Juniper: flesh streams/irl streams don't actually affect numbers significantly either way if you do it regularly. The vtubers that have been dabbling think they do, but current data suggests that your community is your community, and IRL streams don't have any more of a significant impact on your numbers outside of it being an event stream, no different than an outfit reveal/model reveal/ect.
>Outside of the top 20, the big numbers winner for the month is Yuy. She is at 553 CCV for the month with a whopping 97% viewership increase month to month. She spent most of the month blessed by the algorithm on her Youtube shorts, and The Youtube stream may be a watershed moment for her. Depending on how she plays this, she may be the next Olivia in regards to fast growth in numbers.
That's all I have for you this month, catch you next time liggas
