It should still work, but she probably has to adjust what she eats and drinks, including no alcohol.
The funny thing is, if she had gone to the doctor at the start of the symptoms she would have mostly been fine.
The pain 100% did NOT start the night she went to the hospital she would most likely have had painful episodes before.
