To be fair, things are clearly happening at the VSJ, Holo and Doki booths. There's nothing to do at the Niji booth except walk through, look at the statues and standees, and leave. I doubt there are that many loud and proud nijifags left but the booth itself is so barebones I don't see why anyone would be there to begin with.

Y'know I wonder, do you think Niji will ever try to stealth revive the EN branch using bilingual JP talents? I know Niji's whole MO is to basically shit out as much content as possible without little foresight but when it comes to the EN market, would they stop to maybe think of a long term plan? No one who runs a corpo can ignore the influence and money the EN side rakes in, so it makes me wonder if Riku will try to slither back into that market given how greedy he is. I wouldn't be surprised if some time down the line a unofficial international branch emerges with a heavy focus on english speaking talents, just not called EN and pretending that the current EN never happened.

I don't think the thread understands, this booth is clearly taking the bold decision to serve as a work of art based around the theme 'nijisanji and the en vtuber landscape'

A booth filled with ads for merch but completely devoid of anything exciting to make you want to check it out or stick around in it should you wander in.
Juxtaposed against this, their big event, the concert, has been cancelled with clearly bullshit reasoning and nothing else arranged to try and fill the void.
Contrastingly you have everyone checking out hololives booth where a sing song is happening.
Vshojo has a smaller booth shared with other companies unlike nijis, but with a far more dynamic vibe complete with a sick car and holding meet and greets (at no cost)
And then much closer by, you have dokibird throwing a party, the sound of which penetrates into the nijisanji booth and might offer some scant stimulation to those wandering through it, and yet, is so clearly not provided by said booth but by the individual herself trying to entertain her fans.
Finally, standing outside as if to greet you is a large grinning statue of elira pendora, who has undeniably at this point become the face of nijien.
Truly, nijisanji has managed to capture the exact vibe of the carcrash that began in 2023 and led to their downfall.

And it's 100% management's fault. And the entire vtuber community knows this, even the Niji EN talents.
And it being 100% management's fault includes the black screen - even if the whole thing was Elira's idea, there are still people in the company above her who could have pulled the emergency brake, even if the "Elira is management" rrat is true and the only people above her in the company are Riku and the rest of the C-Suite. Hell, they could STILL pull the emergency brake, by privating that stream, just as they privated Selen's MV.

It's not 100% over yet, since it is within the realm of possibility for them to regain at least a tenth of the goodwill they've lost since Feb 12. But that would require them to admit that their handling of the Selen situation could have been handled better, and their refusal to take that first step has been killing them through attrition over the past 5 months. And they will continue to wither away, until EN management at least pays lip service to the idea that they're aware of the concept of doing better, or until the home office closes the EN branch, whichever happens first.
Oh by the way the annual shareholders meeting is on July 30 at 10 am JST.
