yes I know she's #1 in subs, but the reason I found her is that I prefer full streams to highlights, so that eliminates JP tubers, and I like her the most out of HoloEN. The reason I'm here is because despite not watching a lot of vtubers, I do like the girls from Hololive. They're interesting to me, enough that they've gotten me to evaluate the types of people I'd want to meet in the real world, and also made me consider what changes I should make for myself. I wouldn't consider it an obsession, but it's something that's rubbed me the right way, that I'm happy I've had the chance to experience. Aside from Hololive though, I'm pretty cynical of vtubers in general. I know nothing of Nijisanji, I don't like VShoujo aside from Melody, and I'm not a fan of indies since I don't see the point in being a vtuber when you could just stream without a facecam.
For this board specifically, I came here cause I saw the announcement, and I stayed because I like the Hololive threads, however I also find this to be a fun board to lurk in general. Not many people say good things about /vt/, but I think it's a pretty decent board. People obsessing over streamers in mocap who pretend to be anime girls doesn't feel any weirder than what the rest of the internet obsesses over. The only posts I see here that come off as odd are the anti posts. There's nothing wrong with not liking a certain streamer, or even saying you don't, but I don't understand why anyone would dedicate their time to actively hating a content creator they don't like.
