Suisei owned her IP before she joined Cover, but we have no information about what occurred since then. She might have fully sold the IP to Cover as a condition of joining, or she might still own the original model that she created but not any of the newer models, or she might have negotiated a provision to retain ownership of future models. We have no way to know without reading the contract.

She only owns the OG model anon (the one that she debuted with). The current Suisei model is made by Teshima Nari and technically that model is Cover's IP

I ain't gonna say Cover is never planning to giveaway models to OG members because there are no cases like that yet. The oldest member they lost is Mel and she was terminated so any model discussion is thrown out of the window for her

It would be based from Cover to give Suisei or any gen 0 members the model in case they do decide to leave in my opinion, but I can understand why it's challenging when bringing company IP in the mix

Being a part of Hololives marketing and collaborations is probably still very beneficial to her. Moreover she's probably renegotiated her contact several times and gets a very good deal. Overall, if a company isn't black then it makes sense to stick with it.

1. She does not own any of her current models
2. Cover owns the trademark to Hoshimachi Suisei, she cannot monetize the name without gaining license or access to the trademark.
3. Suisei doesn't want to leave, the direction of her career requires major corporate backing any anywhere besides Cover will give her way worse terms.

Intellectual Property and Trademark are two different things. She owns the IP to Suisei but Cover owns the trademark.
