>>80052571If you've ever dealt with content creators in a professional manner, you'll find many just don't care until it's a little too late or frankly too stupid to realise what they are doing wrong. Now I am gonna sperg for a moment.
You have some that think if it appears on say, Google images; that you do not need to accredit the source or if it's a licenced image because well, it appeared on Google images and so it has to be free. It is why so many of those annoying list channels typically slap an accreditation or licence holder watermark in the corner. Same goes with video (especially memes) use. "Well it's on YouTube and so am I, it's for the bit" and whilst some chucklefuck will argue 'MuH tRaNsFoMaTiVe MeDiA', it won't always work if an active licence is required to use it. It's even why channels like Internet Historian use platforms like "Storyblocks" to avoid this headache and just pay a licence fee to one singular entity. Seeing as Filian is with Mythic, she and the agency would be wise to not abuse the copyright system to silence this ongoing drama.
You than have the "Yes man" problem in which they become so big that they refuse any input that isn't from a approved (bias) sources. Many here have questioned why Filian's friends didn't say anything and I assure you if any did, they would have been drowned out by said parasites. Sometimes this system is publicly visible via Discord, other times the information isn't even being fed to her because she has assigned some yes men to moderation or admin status. I am sure a few PhaseFags know how that felt in the past with Lumi.
The final hurdle is tied to the person directly. On the one half, you've got a series of content creators who use "social anxiety" as a shield to anything they ever do wrong. "I didn't mean to ghost you, I was just overwhelmed by the messages" "Sorry for the late reply, I just needed time to recharge" etc. etc. These ones assume that if they just ignore it, at some point it will either go away or resolve itself. Networking with these types is tiresome and it's why social butterflies or those looking for clout are typically the ones that rise to the top. But when you are dealing with this talent at a management level (if it be handling invoices, commission rates, relaying sponsorship terms etc.) it can be very stressful because they typically reply way too late or actively harm the relationship you've been working to upsell.
On the flipside, you've got others that corrupted by ego. They assume they know better because they are the star, they are the one people wanna watch. Never mind the fact that they've not hit the upload button in months and the entire support team ensuring they remain relevant (thumbnail artist, editor, manger) is doing the heavy lifting. These are the ones that typically fall from brief grace quicker because most of the time, the ones doing the work behind the scenes are typically the first to blab on social media about mistreatment or whatever.
