>>8009826>in terms of entertainmentDepends what type of entertainment is your cup of tea. Some would say that Ame screaming at Mario 64 is peak gameplay entertainment, others would say it's horrible. If "good at games" is your idea of entertainment, Selen playing Apex, Suisei playing Tetris, Maine with Tohou and Flare with Undertale are all pretty formidable. If you're looking for streamers who talk about interesting stuff as they game or react in funny ways, again, it depends. Generally, the one whose personality you like is they one whose gameplay streams you like, unless you hate their choice of games. All I'd say is avoid Anya unless you want to watch her struggle and not have a clue what to do for hours at a time.
>Game choice. Nobody is consistent within the chuuba scene these days. I mean I love Korone, but I've rarely caught anything she's done in the last month as I don't watch her RPG streams due to not knowing Japanese, and she's been playing a lot more modern games as of late (Spongebob was pretty good, but not like Die Hard Arcade good). Okayu plays some pretty interesting retro games as well at times, but yeah, HL is very fairly criticised for it's trend hopping and lack of diversity regarding game choices. For all the shit EN gets, at least the game choices are fairly diverse comparitively, even though I really hope Gen 2 brings a retro gamer and someone good at fightan games, as this is a void from the EN vtuber field that is yet to be filled by anyone genuinely charasmatic who actually likes streaming (this is only a diss at Mori in that she sucks at fightan games). In the EN vtuber world Indies and small EN agency chuubas are probably even worse for game choices than HL or even NijiEN.
