As they said there, the 3 times a week contract is for 1 year, after that and 100k subs, they can do whatever.
Cover is lenient anyway. Ollie, Kiara, Gura and Ame all took 2 week breaks within their 1st year, which should breach that contract.

Those rules are more like suggestions. Vtubing is an additive business. A company literally lose nothing when a vtuber doesn't stream, assuming they're not paying out a salary and only making money whenever a chuba gets superchats.

Hell, look at Nijisanji - multiple chubas of theirs have gone AWOL for various periods or stream rarely and they won't announce their resignation because frankly they have no reason to. At that point contractual obligations don't really matter anymore.
