Playing as a character for what 3-4 years with how much success she had, of course she and her fans that are still with her and going to latch onto that aspect of her career that was taken from her. She was terrified and acted irrationally, but Cover being a shit company never tried to help her and fired her. This needs to be normalized if Hololive are gonna become the new standard in the idol industry. Flesh idols move up in life all the time when they graduate, virtual idols are limited to circles "in the know", because they're not allowed to publicly take credit, and companies can't profit off of it as much either.
Disney doesn't hire former idols to voice their brand new characters in Japan just because of their quality as voice actresses, they do it because they can slap "XXX-san (ex-AKB)" on the poster.
