The thing is older whites see Asia as a place they're at war with (North Korea, drafts from Vietnam, gotta defend Taiwan etc) vs the younger gen who sees only Japan and sees them as Nintendo friendly cuddly clean city people that wouldn't harm a fly and both are floating around.
So you probably won't see a white convention gathering unless it's on the east coast and it has a creative vibe to it where part of it is outdoors and you can frolic in Pekora's bunny garden and sit under the stars with Suisei or scuba dive with Gura etc.
