>>80244923I'm not, if anything I would claim the opposite, that you are the one projecting your ideas on her.
This insistence on shutting up anyone who dares to suggest Mint could do more than she's doing now and refusal to even consider something unless she directly says it to your face that I see among some of her fans (but pretty much ONLY /here/) is baffling to me. She talked a bunch of times about how great Hololive and their concerts are but you're making the decision for her that she doesn't want to ever be part of one - do you realize how toxic that line of thinking is?
>If she decides she wants to be a mega popular 5view, she'll say it and we'll help her get thereThat's the thing, you really don't understand her. She won't say that.
Hell, many of the vtubers who are already there wouldn't ever say that and they have more confidence.
Mint, while having great ability to hype things up, has always been careful with setting up expectations. She's shy, introverted, self-conscious, prone to doubting herself. She won't outright say everything that she wants to do. Sometimes it's because she doesn't even realize this herself and and only understands her feelings after it already happens. Not long ago she was saying she doesn't want to stream - and look how things turned out. Matara convinced her to stream and it was absolutely the right thing to do. Mint was saying she only wants to stream a bit without going hard. She ended up participating in record high number of events while streaming all the time. Meanwhile I saw some of the shitters on this board saying they're fine if she never comes back just because she was hesitant. It was really mentally draining arguing with them and I'm experiencing similar feelings in this thread.
How can you claim that place she is at right now is the hard limit and she wouldn't be happy with advancing further? You're actively trying to stunt her growth, solely because you made up an idea in your head that she wouldn't want to achieve more. When she showed time and time again that she can do that and is extremely glad every time it happens.
Don't you remember how hard she was trying for her 3D debut in Nijisanji? She did far more than anyone expected of her, far more than was standard in Nijisanji. When the show was finally on, she even made up surprisingly decent choreography on the spot to the part she wasn't able to practice. She's a natural talent who thrives on the stage but is sometimes afraid of admitting it. She will SAY that she is fine even if things don't work out but taking that at face value isn't what a fan should do, contrary to what you seem to believe. Fans should support and cheer her up but also push her forward towards achieving her goals that she absolutely can achieve and will be much happier when she does so.
