>>80234329Not a hater, nor irrational, but personally I find twitch vtubers leaning toward overanimated/exaggerated. It's just distracting, all the ungulating bits, and I don't find it appealing. It also creates a dissonance that I can't resolve where the streamer's emotions feel insincere, unlike the expressions of more tame models.
Even something like Mori's recent update, while it's more expressive and a technical upgrade, it doesn't feel like "her" to me, and I think some of her charm was lost.
If I could update anything about the holo standard, it'd be improved tracking for lip flaps and blinking. Anything I'd do would be to get it closer to what Doki is doing. IMO, she's got the most appealing animation in the market (tho I'm not super informed on what happens outside of holo desu so if you've got a better one, drop the rec. Would love to check it out.
