Ina and Kronii are tied in having lewd models that are the worst match for the type of vtuber content they wanted to make. Advent and Justice may not get the EN vtuber buff that happened during lockdowns but they will have a much easier journey in Hololive because none of them are stuck with models they consider degrading.

If Kronii and Ina care that much about how their family views their vtuber career how would that be a daddy issue? Having a sense of modesty isn't that rare and not everyone in Hololive wants to do lewd stuff. On a cynical level you aren't wrong that Hololive is a business where the goal is to shill merch and get viewers emotionally attached to Cover trademarked characters. An ugly design won't help them do that and half the time that management agreed to a 2.0 model redesign was because they believed it would increase merch sales. No one expects Cover to become a charity but letting newer gens have more input on their designs would indicate that HoloEN had enough behind the scenes issues that management decided they didn't want to go down the same evil road as NijiEN.

Kronii rose to the top because of the combination of her model and her voice. Add in her personality, the ice queen was a much welcome addition. But as we learned she was only like that because she genuinely just hated her fans.
