I believe that includes Mint herself, and I also think she's savvy enough to recognize that when you have the golden ticket, you don't need to go through a potential PR disaster of "stealing someone's spot" when she can just ask. The best she can do if she applies at that point is shift the blame off of herself and onto her employer because the industry at large probably clearly understands that she has the golden ticket, too.

I can't bring myself to believe any company serious about surviving making a giant mistake like "giving the slot to Mint" twice. Even if she applies, it'll be wiser for them to lie, say she was invited, and admit someone else.
