Instead of being grateful for the opportunity or even just keeping his head down and shutting the fuck up he tries to mock and antagonize the people responsible for whatever meager living he's able to earn.
This rant comes from a place of bitterness and cynicism. He sees the attention and support that others are getting and he's so bitter about it that he'd be perfectly happy to upend the entire table if it meant that even a fraction of that attention and support transferred to himself. In case the 25 minute rant about people he doesn't care about saying things that he doesn't pay attention to wasn't enough of a clue, he's a pathetic, self-conscious loser who is more interested in trying to steal the success of others than build any for himself.
