hate.MC autism. I get why Ame thinks its more fun and interesting to build things without looking at guides and with her audience's help. Its a valid point especially for a streamer.
However that should only apply to thinks that are considered non-essential to the server. Things that people will use extensively like a Exp farm should be as efficient as possible, because other people are gonna waste their precious time on that. Something thatwt could be 15-20 minutes becomes 1 hour.
Its common sense: are you gonna build something for fun like the fun house or sky temple? It doesn't matter how you do it. Are you gonna build an iron farm or exp farm? Make it as efficient as possible and follow a guide to a T.
