So while he didn't really do anything to damage the brand (of HoloEN) in an irreparable manner; he did hold the brand back in many regards. This might be especially evident by the number of talents who complained about poor relations with their direct managers.
Yagoo sorta spoke on this in one of the recent investor calls by basically saying that HoloEN needs western-style management. So while it's pure speculation on my part, I think the main problem with Omega is that they basically tried to run HoloEN like a JP branch. I think this is also evident with all of the "lore accurate" stuff they were trying to push. I personally think the Lore nonsense is cool in a chunii fashion, it doesn't really fit what Hololive is. Imagine if they told Okayu "you're a Gamer not an Idol."
It should be said that Yagoo seems to be running Cover by what it started out as, a (Japanese) technology firm. Which isn't a bad decision by any means, and given his background makes a lot of sense. Unfortunately this is probably where the mistake of hiring Omega probably comes from, as Hololive and Holostars (EN, JP, and I) are all Entertainment Brands first and foremost. Seemingly last year Cover and HoloPro have come to a similar conclusion and better divided up the management and staff structure.
Right now, things seem to be on the "hopeful" side. Yagoo has a good understanding of what makes both sides of the business successful, as well as how to properly orient that business. He also seems to be chasing a long-term plan instead of short investor goals. Which might be aided by the fact that seemingly a lot of "small" investors bought into the Cover stock and not any particularly large firms.
Within the next year or two you're going to see how these changes from last year are really shaping up and we'll probably have a solid idea about the future of the brand. Right now their biggest fault line is in their Game/App development sector. They've already struggled a bit on getting wide acceptance of the micro-transactions in the game and the HoloPlus app doesn't seem to drive much daily activity since it's limited to HoloPro talents.
While I was a business major; I don't think I'd be able to give good insight on the Game or App side of things. I've never personally managed similar projects before. What I can say as a "gamer" looking outside in, is that HoloEarth really needs to take some inspiration from PalWorld, Mihoyo, and FF14. Right now the game doesn't have a large drive towards community interactions and the gameplay is too simple to have your average gamer want to sink hundreds of hours into it.
