Tournaments are in general a debuff for most people involved. My theory is that because the vspo box is mostly a subset of the fps box, and people only watch one pov, they will gravitate to their favourite streamer. And those are distributed across each team just like vspo were.
On top of that, during the scrims you have people watching the coach povs too.
And finally, all the practice outside of scrims is terrible content. That webm you see of nobody talking in kokage's chat? It's because of learning from the coach. Everyone is falling asleep. Most people tune out here entirely.
It wasn't caught in that time period, but people watch the main stream for the main event too. To elaborate how much of a debuff it is for most people - Nose and Beni were on the winning team, and their pov got less viewers than even their solo streams at weird hours.
