The council debuts with surprise! Omega! and the mismanagement with IRyS was before the grim era, but it was the first signs that things with management were fucked.
The grim era kind of goes:
>Sana announces graduation, everyone sad since it's so sudden, but everyone eagerly awaiting a potential EN3 since it's time>Instead they announce T3mpus! suspiciously with the e made to look like a 3. Clearly management want them to be EN3 but can't say it outright. They were chasing the Luxiem boom, finally a chance to make male vtubers work!>Omega making a bunch of unity tweets, all the holopro shit comes from this time. Big push from everywhere to put them together, any hint that you weren't enthusiastic about this on any site besides here got you dogpiled.>Mori was being supportive of newbies the same way she has been with Advent and Justice, but she was kinda less mature then. She's was still quite abrasive, and that antagonistic attitude to the whole thing seemed to be being encouraged. Which was a shame since she'd seemed to have mellowed out a bit before that. Hence the Mori 2.0, 3.0... 17.0 shitposting>Collab ban gets shortened for the first time, due to "popular demand" all that shit I'm sure you've seen a bunch. >They were obviously moved into the EN discord at some point because Moona quickly made an EN and ID girls only discord, which most of the girls clearly moved over to using, we had confirmation of this a few times. Caused more communication issues though>Around this time was seemingly when a lot of the girls attitudes shifted from "they're debuting go support them if you're interested" to just never mention or acknowledge they exist on stream. Begging was at an all time high here, mentioning their names was basically confirmation you were going to collab>This is when the mood of a lot of the girls started to drop pretty hard and tensions started to rise a lot. Lots of complaints about cancelled projects, collab ideas falling through. A lot of time off, illnesses, less streams, etc>Gura getting laughed at for asking for perms, told to just play what they had. Other girls not getting perms for months while seemingly the guys get what they want pretty much immediately, sometimes it was something the girls asked for months ago.>Management got overhauled at the end of 2022, and things started to change starting in 2023. This was kind of hidden by the second set of debuts that they tried to bullshit weren't a second gen. Some anons did notice things seemed different but others didn't buy it.>This when a lot of pushback against the beggars started ramping up again.Things in 2023 were still grim at the start with a lack of streams, but this is already too long and things were settling a bit with a seeming shift in attitudes. Ultimately things did improve with the concert and Advent, everything seemed to be healing.
One thing that often gets left out alot from this era was relationship between EN and JP. EN management seemingly trying to push EN away from JP.
>Absolutely no gen numbers for EN, only names.>Haachama being told she can't play on the EN minecraft server anymore (this actually happened) and can't use the EN0 label anymore.>EN not really being included in JP events anymore>Heavily trying to shut down the idol label usage on the EN sideThat grimmest part of this era in my opinion.
